You could contact Chuck Bennett for the year info of you whaler. He holds all of whalers original build sheets and can cross reference your stenciled numbers and let you know the date the boat was built and where it was sold to.
Looking at your photos the boat was built before 1989 because of the splashwell. Also looking at photos it looks like the brass thru-hull in the transom is completely gone....That is not good if it is.

pasino,
I agree with Jeff. Send Chuck Bennett your Stencil number and he can tell you.
About all I can tell from the photos is that it is 1985 and earlier in my opinion.
You can also look at the Stencil numbers in this list of other 22' Hull owners.
http://www.whalercentral.com/readarti...icle_id=20
According to the list, your boat may be early 1980, 1981 or so...

Jeff, thanks. In the meantime, BW answered that the boat was manufatured in 1979, not a very young baby.
My english, specially regarding nautic terms, is less that basic, what is the brass thru-hull?

Joe, thaks I really need your suggestions as my experience is almost zero. The person who's selling this V-22 is not completely convincing me, he has contradicted few times. Furthermore I found the locker in the last picture of this page was full of water and the drain hole was sealed, he didnìt know why,

Jeff is talkink about a transom brass thru-hull and he's sayng that is a bad symptom of the condition of the boat. This means the boat could be
waterlogged?
