Hello W/C and members, I was looking at a picture of a late model 17 Montauk with the reversible Pilot seat. I noticed on the side of the fiberglass housing that encases the portable fuel tanks a stainless steel bracket that is used for locking the back rest in a few differnt positions. Is anyone familiar with the assembly I am describing? If so, any ideas as to who manufactures it or might retail this item? I would like to add this feature to my current pilot seat if possible. Thank you in advance for any info that is provided towards my inquiry.

Are you referring to a Montauk 17' or a Montauk 170 ??

I know the piece to which you are referring. You'll probably end up ordering it from Whaler but Todd Seats makes a swingback seat also. However I don't believe it uses the same type bracket.

Hello Joe and Duane, thanks for the replies.
Joe it will be the Montauk 170. The one I came across was a 2002.
I made contact with Sue Lodel at T.C.M., she may be able to order the brackets from B/W if in stock.
There about $53.00 ea (a Rt. & Lt.). The only item left will be how the back rest S.S. tube engages the bracket for positioning. Will the pin be something I can retro-fit to mine or will I have to purchase a new back rest assembly, we'll see.
Thanks anyway for the input guy's.
