Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: 2000 Yamaha 225 Oil Tank level sensor

Have a 2000 Yamaha 225 2 stroke, it appears my oil tank level sensor on the gauge is not working it shows full and am now below half full. Theres two fittings on the top of the oil tank, one is of course to put oil in it, the other has wires going to it which I assume is the level sensor. Is there an easy fix here, is it a float type sensor or something electrical? Thanks in advance.

Thanks seahorse. I jsut had the oil alarm today and wodered what it was about. the website you posted answered all.
