I purchased my 1986 13 feet SS Whaler in 2000 and the wood was not restored correctly. I am in the process of restoring.

Upon removing components, I noticed a cracked part #4.2 from the parts breakdown sheet of the owners guide (Bezel 90-degree) (Whaler part# 12349100) and a broken housing on part #4.1 from parts breakdown sheet of the owners guide(steering, helm, single cable) (Whaler part # 12346900).

Any info on where I can purchase these items would be great.

Thanks

Mike Joyce

After posting here, I keep searching and contacted whaler.com

Between both I was able to find the parts at Teleflex Marine.

They were sold as a kit and is located at http://www.teleflexmarine.com/cgi-bin/products.cgi?site=steering&type=us&product=1086

Thanks for this great site, as I have been reading so munch useful information.

Keep up the great work.

Mike,

Yes, Teleflex is the place for most all your steering and engine cable(s) needs.

Glad you found the parts you needed.

Thanks Joe:

I sent Teleflex an email asking if they sell direct or if I have to go through a marine dealer.

I hope they reply Monday. I am eager to get the boat back up and running after 2 seasons of not having it to fly around and fish the Carolina sound and rivers.

Mike,

I am not sure if they sell direct or not.
I usually buy my Teleflex parts through Surplus Unlimited. They are listed in the 'Vendors Web Links' and under Chandlery.
http://www.surplusunlimited.com/store...efront.htm

Even though they don't list all the Teleflex parts, I have been able to order many parts through them. I just had t send them an email.
