Anyone doing the Fishtopia Chesapeake Whalertowne event on July 10th?
Seems to be a lack of information and either I'm missing something online.
Any insights?

I’ll be there – not doing the fishing tournament though. Watching the weather – calling for thunderstorms…

Yes -

Although I didn’t have a chance to meet him, I believe Mark braved the weather – I saw a Dauntless with a sweet ETEC on the back. Despite the weather, I thought all the folks at Whalertowne put on another great event.

We weren't brave enough to go early fishing because of the rain moving across and out to the Bay so the fishtopia winner - god bless 'em - walked away with the grand prize as the only fishing crew! Sporting nice shirts too! We could have caught a minnows and got some of the loot!
The turnout was pretty good and I got to meet the sweet '62 Whaler owner and talk about the NYC rendezvous etc.
What with torrential rain, Bay Bridge traffic - ridiculous parking permits at the ramp (no envelope or slot payment - we had to run off to a store to buy it) it felt like a trial by fire to attend. The goodie bag was very generous. I'm on my 3rd of 12 Fishopia T's! More drink tickets for sure next time (hint) and a cool Raymarine prize which I didn't win (that would have looked good on the ol' Dauntless). I'll be there with a fat fish next year.
C Whalertowne did a nice job hosting- (Thank you!). The eats where really good. If I can make a suggestion make it earlier next year before all the holiday traffic which we hit coming and going.
Despite the effort, traffic and soaking my father-in-law seemed to shrug it off and enjoy it.
More boats next time - that gets everyone meeting.

I was there boatless as well. Bridge traffic was ridiculous that day, so grateful I was not towing.
Goodie bags and the chow were super!
Their was slot of marketing of event via social media. Finally joined the crowd on Twitter and Facebook.
