Does anyone know of a good resource for obtaining new stanchion screws for a 17' Montauk. I'm in the process of replacing some screws with stripped heads and have been unable to locate new screws in all of the normal places.

The screws also have a plastic washer that I will need as well. Thanks!

Dylan,

I assume you are talking about the self tapping screws with the plastic washer that holds the railing fittings together, including the console railing.

If so, try CMI....

Dylan,

Have a look at this thread. We replaced all of our screws with stainless rivets and it was MUCH better. Have a read towards the bottom.

CMI is the only place to get these set screws that I know of. Give Fred a call and he will be happy to mail you as many as you can afford.

Thanks for the help.

The rivets look sweet, does anyone know of a place near Seattle that might be able to do this kind of work?

Any local Canvas shop should have the tools. It takes a very long handled rivet gun to get the leverage to set them.
