I bought a basic Morse that works fine. Couldn't justify 400+ and just wanted simple and dependable.

(Ted
1985 15' CC, 1994 60 hp Merc (Wednesday built), 5" jack plate)

Hi Ted, back in the mid `80s at the Mercury Plant, Wednesday was the day that factory assemblers were allowed to drink beer all day, and leave early when if they finished their quota of work. Also the 60 hp motors were the ones they put all the new hires on.
How has that 60 hp `85 Merc been for ya?

of course you know I`m just kidding

Too funny! I was laughing as soon as I saw "drink beer all day".

When I was 9 or 10 my dad put me in a 12' aluminum with a 3.5 hp Sears air-cooled and I was in seventh heaven. I must have put a thousand miles a summer on that thing, but the most amazing part was it nearly kept up with the neighbor's 6 horse Merc. It was a three and a half but "it ran like a six". (My brothers still kid me about the way I used to spout that off every chance I got.)

So now I have a 60, but it runs like a 70.

ps - Remind me if we ever meet up to bring an extra pair of reading glasses for you. It's a '94 ya old coot. :)

pps - By the way, I saw the pics of that fintail you painted. That's some beautiful work. Beautiful.
