Anyone know a reputable rebuilder for PT&T motors?

Probably easier to just buy a new one. I bought one for my 98 Evinrude 50 a couple of years ago for $150.

Do you need the motor and the pump or either or? I bought a motor from Arco Marine for my 200hp Yamaha for about $225.00.

I just need the motor. I checked with Arco, they don't have a motor for my engine.

Kevin,
I cant be sure but I think that is same motor for many model, 40 thru 90. I see all them all the time on eBay for about $125. I also know someone (a good outboard guy in GW lake) who may be able to help. Give me a ring.

Hi Jon, the problem is Yamaha changed the motor in the 1988 to 1989 year. So my motor was the last year of the old style. The trim works great when the boat is in the driveway. When the motor is under power, it won't trim in or out. The Yamaha mechanic told me it was probably the motor since there are no leaks and the fluid was topped off.

Kevin try your local electric motor shop. My brother works at one and they fix all kinds of motors including starters and trim motors.
