I finally have some pictures up of my 13 whaler that I have been restoring for the past few months. The pictures are on my personal page. I'm actually further along than these pictures show. The hull is painted and I'm working on the inside now. I was also mistaken as to what model this boat was. My boat had a metal tag with the stencil number on it, but I knew these were not put on by Boston Whaler in 1968. The number on the metal tag was different in the last digit than the stencil number. I emailed the tag number to Boston Whaler and they said it was a Sport that was sent to Hawaii originally. I am in New Jersey and found this a bit hard to believe. I then emailed the stencil number and this one came back to being sold to a dealer in New Jersey. The last digit on the tag was a 9, and the last digit on the stencil was a 3. So it was kind of hard to tell whether the 3 on the stencil was a 3 or a 9. The boat was actually a Standard originally, but I will be adding a console and a 35hp Johnson. More up to date pictures to come soon.

Thanks Cliff. I was actually just checking you personal page out. Looks like you know how to put your whaler to great use. I'll put some new pictures up real soon.

That brings back memories. Looks like you took the hull all the way down to the glass. Did you gelcoat back over that or paint?

Yeah I won't soon forget this project. Yeah I've been taking it all the way down to the glass. The gelcoat was in really bad shape. I opted to paint the boat. On the bottom which is now done I used Interlux Perfection and was very happy with the results. I'm going to do the same on the inside, working on sanding that down now... More pics soon.

I hope you put an epoxy over the glass before topcoat. Let's see some updated pics.

Yeah I did two coats of two part epoxy primer. I'll have some pics up later tonight.
