I bought a 15' Rage 4 days ago and after taking it out for the first time I loaded it back on the trailer without latching the engine cover (I'm not sure what it's actually called). After about a mile from the boat dock I realized it had blown off. I went back to get it but apparently someone thought they needed it more than i do. I'm just sick about it. Does anyone know where I can find one. It's the cover that goes over the entire back part of the boat. My Rage is an inboard jet powered boat so the peice I need the a very vital part of the boat. I can still operate it but it's loud and isn't very safe. Thank you for any help you can provide.

You can try calling whaler or try Marine Connection in Ft Pierce FL.
http://www.themarineconnection.net/in...index.html Find a photo of the part and send it to them. They will check their stock and email you back. Great folks.

Start crawling your local Craigslist, eBay or City paper. The only reason to pick it up is to ransom it back or thinking of reselling it.
Put the word out at Marine suppliers.
Sorry - that is such a bummer and you have my sympathies.

There are categories on Craigslist for this sort of thing. Wanted or lost notices.
Get to work and post as many ads as possible on Craigs. You may need help from other people to post multiple times the ads expire after a week or so.
Good Luck

Try this place in Michigan http://www.fishermarina.com/
I was there this weekend and he had thousands of different type of engine covers.

its quite heavy - You will need to find a boat that has been salvaged or scrapped. I would suggest looking for a junkyard that specializes in boats.

The reason I suggested Marine Connection is they have a lot of whaler parts.
I would also go back and ask around maybe knock on some doors. You never know someone might have pulled it from the road.

You could try contacting the Hwy Patrol or local P.D., possibly DPW dept. They may have picked it up off the road as a reported "Hazard".
