Hi guys, I'm almost done with my 1988 whaler 15 SS project and have a couple of questions.

1st, What is the size of the drain tubes, I need to order them and I don't know what I need?

2nd, Where do I buy the tool and tubes? Maybe someone can lend me the tool, I'll pay for the shipping.

3rd, I have a brand new console and would like to see pictures on how your gauges are installed or positioned on your whaler or maybe you guys can give me some ideas on how to accommodate them (RPM, volt, trim, temp)

4th During the rebuilt I forgot to measure were everything was suppose to go, could someone please take some measurement on your whaler 15 SS, I guess from the transom to were the side rails start and from the transom to the console, what ever is easy for you.

5th I also need to know where the running light goes, pics preffer.

6th I need also ideas for all the switches, how to accommodate them.

7th Any ideas for electronics, I'm installing a Garmin 3006 with a ducer and an Icom VHF. I'm a flush mount kind of guy but the console is small so I can't do it. I hate to see the electronics on top of the console with brackets. Obviously this is the way to go. I was planning on modifying my console to flush mount them but since this is one of those complete kits I didn't want to mess up with it. Maybe someone has done something nice that could share.

8th Do you guys use bilge pumps on this whalers?

9th I have a 1991 Johnson 70hp, what is the recommended prop size for this set up, looking for speed.

Thanks in advance.

Wellcraft, I have a complete section of 36" brass tube and the usual complete set of O rings directly from McMaster Carr, accidentally had two sent, my bad. If I remember correctly its $36. plus shipping. Make me an offer, I can't use it. Email me to exchang some pics and your number. Did you fill and hide every screw hole so that now you don't know where the rails go back? If thats the case, I would shift forward or aft 1" for a new bite in that wood below the gelcoat. I can get those measurements for you. May be able to help with others. zotcha.

I have a couple of photos on my page that might help. Would offer to give measurements, but it's shrinkwrapped at the moment.

The right of the wheel have been where I have seen them positioned.

Bilge pumps: Yes. I changed mine from a manual to auto last year and would not do it otherwise. I would pull the plug each time after use, but every once in awhile I would forget and get a rain storm, or have it in the water overnight and the same happens. If it is a big storm, the water can rise up enough where the storage under the seat would get wet, and then you have everything in there getting wet - potential for mold/rot etc... A bilge pump with an auto setting makes it one less thing to worry about. Good luck with your project!
