Does anyone out there have a suggestion on what to cleanup a Montauk windshield with? It's been neglected and looks like it has some surface scratches.

Also, what would you use to clean rust stains inside the boat on the fiberglass?

Thanks, guys.

DILUTED Muriatic acid will remove rust staining and will not harm the gel coat. READ THE DIRECTIONS carefully...

Not sure what you could use on the windshield...

Is the windshield crazed and foggy? There are plastic windshield polishes out there, just need to do a little searching. Maybe you could use a product that will restore a cars headlights like this product:

Thanks for the answers so far.

CES, It's not really crazing. It just looks scuffed up but more hazy. I'll take a look at your link. Thanks.

Barkeepers Friend is an excellent produuct for removing rust from fiberglass and stainless steel. It will be near the other powdered cleaners like Comet in the store. It is in a gold round container.

I'm down here at the Texas coast where the rust is awful. Barkeepers Friend is also boatkeepers friend in my opinion. Give it a try.

Second the Barkeepers Friend. They recommend to make a paste for removing the rust stains.

I would use "Bon Ami" cleanser on the windshield, it's been around for 100 years, and it has'nt "scratched" yet ! Great on "Chrome" too.
