Which rub rail was factory on the 74 montauk? I looked through the personal pages, but a boat that old, I am not sure I trust what I see.
Thanks,
Joshua

The three piece Barbour rub rail. You can order one through any Whaler dealer for about $100.

I was just told that the one piece white rub rail is the one that was original to the 74 montauk.

Nope. You were told wrong. The one-piece white rub rail was never used on the Montauk model and on no Whaler model at all after 1971.
The three piece with black insert and white receiver track is what was used in 1974 but the Moonstone receiver track would look good too. You may not have a choice between the two so take what you can get.

Moonstone is a name that Barbour chose for a tan color they use. It is close kinda close to Desert Tan so Whaler started using it in their rub rail kits in the 1980s.
