If this is a dumb question I apologize. What is W3C Validation? I see a link to it on the left under the PayPal link

W3C is the World Wide Web Consortium. The validation service is simply a check of sorts that provides an error report for a particular site. Its a validation of the code that makes the site. The report can help the site creator track down errors in the code and help improve site compatibility for browsers. Most modern browser software will tolerate many errors without the user ever noticing.

If you click on the little W3C banner, you'll see a report particular to this site.

Tom,

You can also view the news article I wrote awhile back on W3C validation.
http://www.whalercentral.com/news.php...eadmore=51

Most people don't really care as this just happens for things in the background.
However, upfront, the pages load faster the fewer errors that are reported and that's where the viewers benefit without really knowing it.

Most all of our pages validate.
However, we have one panel that throws 11 errors on all the pages because that same panel is on all the pages... We are aware of this panel but we are not going to turn the panel off. This panel is for the scrolling feature we use in the Sponsor panel. We would rather see that the <embed> and the <marquee> functions be accepted by the people that run the W3C validation as the functions are valid but they seem to want to only allow a microsoft script for this function.
I say hogwash.....
I will never write or modify a panel using a microsoft script or function.
This isn't just me but this is where I take my stand on this subject.
