Member Personal Page Posts: 4280 Comments: 7 Joined: 09/30/05	The 17' Montauk, and all other Boston Whalers, do not have stringers. Depending on the year of your Montauk, there is probably plywood under the floor to accommodate the screws that secure the seat.
