Saw these today on eBay good seller and reasonable cost. Not original but reputable manufacturer.

Looks pretty close to OEM, just missing the metal divider. Southco makes decent quality parts. Their light is a good alternative to the light sold by Specialty Marine.
Nice catch #9!

I have one of those on my Whaler and it has held up well over the past two years. That's a pretty good price for them too.

This light is not close to OEM, it *is* OEM. It is not "vintage" as the auction description suggests.
This is the bow light and chock used on the new Montauk 170 since 2003. It is designed to fit over the rub rail Whaler uses on these boats today. It will not fit classic Whalers that well.

You're right, it won't fit well on a classic. I had to fabricate a bushing, the shape of the lights base in order to fit it on my classic.

And you can get it from Sue for about the same money. I have one for my low pro project I got from her. I wanted the newer style light.

I've installed a commercial rub rail on my Montauk, that light looks like it would fit well over my rub rail. Tom, does the new 170 have a rub rail similar to a commercial rub rail?

You can find it a little cheaper here.

Great place to buy from. Both my father and I have gotten many things from them over the last two years.

Ya, about the $120 range is what I'm typically seeing these lights going for. I paid a little more than that for mine two years ago. Seems like a pretty good deal for those lights though.

Just a note - I'm winding down my Whaler 13' restoration and decided, at last minute, to try to find a better bow light - I had a terribly worn old light from another boat that had a great style, but wasn't close to original.
I've bought a lot from Specialty Marine for my project, but I just wasn't up for spending another $200 (after shipping) for a light at this point... I found Marine Parts Depot's eBay store and noticed they had a Whaler-ish bowlight/chock unit - only reason it hadn't turned up in my searches before is they listed it as "Boston Whale" without the "r"!
It had a Buy it Now for $99, or a Make an Offer. I figured, what the heck - I made an offer for $50, expecting it to be rejected... it went through! Great, gonna be a piece of crap, right? Got it last night - very nice... solid, heavy, looks great. Have nothing but pictures to compare it to the original, or to Specialty Marine's replica, but it's very similar, and much much cheaper. An option for those of you, at least.
Here's a link to the eBay listing for the unit I bought - they seem tohave plenty more: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350329048274
