today i bought a 1978 outrage with a 225 1995 mariner. i have worked on boats in the past, but not whalers.i want to do this right. paint,wood,rails, ect.??????any ideas

You have come to the right place. There are allot of experts in all of you areas of concern. I bought my first Whaler this spring, it is an 84 outrage. Take a look at my personal page and you can see it, I would suggest you set up a personal page also so we can all see your purchase. I have done allot to my boat already and plan on redoing the wood over the winter.
