Hello All,
I have been a looking for my next project, I have rebuilt and fixed up old lawnmowers, a 1965 Honda S90(complete restore), an 1920's old house, but now onto the next one. I have always wanted a BW and now is the time to find one.

I like the 15' models for space, but seem to see a lot more restored 13' models. Looking for thoughts or opinions on cost, easy, engine cost between the two. I am leaning on the 15', but if it cost twice as much to do, I am happy to bring a 13' back to life.

Thanks,
Brian

Probably very little difference in restoring the 13 vs the 15 if you are comparing apples and apples. You need to decide what you want as the end result as far as usage. Biggest difference will depend on what size motor you opt to go with.

I have the sport 15', my friend has the sport 13' (these are both "Classic" hulls), I like the extra room, and the way the 15' handles the "Chop" better than the sport 13'. I "envy" the sport 13' because, moving it around the driveway, and bottom painting the hull is much easier, than on my 15', both are "Fun" boats !

Hey Brian,

The reason you see so many more 13's restored is because there are many more 13's than 15's out there. If it were me, I'd look for a 15' as you'd be able to put a much larger engine on the boat, it would handle choppier water much better and it's overall versitility IMO, is better.

The good thing about the 13 footer is it is a much more stable platform when at rest than the 15 footer.

Thanks for the quick responses. I think the 15' would be a better choice for me.
IOPTFM-I love your boat, that is pretty much what I am looking to do. Also very jealous of you location, I am lucky enought to make it to IOP about once a year.
CES-Thanks, I am looking for a "fun" boat.
BINKIE-I would have thought the 15' is more stable, but thanks for the imput.

look for a 15. I restored one, those things are like sports cars on the water.
