I started looking at super sport 130 but by the time you add the options I wanted it got up over 15k. I started looking at montauk 150 which comes standred with much of what I want and its only about 5k more than ss130. My question is what's the difference between ss150 and montauk 150? and is it worth the 5k difference over the ss130.
A lot is going to depend on the amount of gear, people, use, etc. I assume you are still going to be mainly running it at Lake Murray. Still think you will be much happier with the 15 vs the 13 in the long run
I am in the same situation and have decided on either the 130 or 150 sport over the 150 montauk. My reason is simply floor space. I plan on installing a bow mount trolling motor and fishing seat. i will also add a rear fishing seat of some type in front of the motor. I really was set on the 150 montauck until I saw it side by side next to the 130 sport - it even had more room than the montauck. I am still undecided between the 130 and the 150. There is about a $4000 price difference between those two. Good Luck with your decision !
Just for the record, so everyone knows what model we are talking about, the 130 or 150 Sport models are no longer being manufactured.
The new models are now the 130 and 150 Super Sport models.
The Super Sport models have a side console.
For those that like the center console for a little more fishability, then the 150 Montauk may be the choice for them.
Both the 150 Super Sport and the 150 Montauk have the same beam of 6' 6"
However, the 150 Montauk is 1 inch longer at 15' 5" as opposed to the 150 Super Sport which is 15' 4" in length.
I know 1 inch isn't much in 15 feet but an inch is an inch.....
