Bait tank for a Whaler 13 Sport

Member Personal Page Project Albums Posts: 434 Comments: 20 Joined: 07/04/08	I am in the same predicament. I can only figure on modifying a cooler as it seems to be about the only option. We don't have a lot of floor space to play with so the cooler seems to be what I keep reverting back to. I've got a 20gal semi-clear plastic drum that contained some kind food chemical, I had thought of cutting it in half and figuring out a reasonably secure lid. I guess that if you could find a cleanable 20gal plastic drum it looks to be roughly the same thing just a few pieces of hard would be needed. Those drums can usually be picked up around cafeterias (schools) or restaurants. They are also used for various soap liquids at auto detailers. The air tube goes through a small hole in the side above the water line. I added a pvc tube to hold my bait net. The 2 handles make it easy to bungee to a side rail. The closest thing I can find to my old setup is the Marine Metal Products (marinemetal.com) spray system. Look at the Super Saver Kit SS-212. Academy Sports sells them here in Texas.
