Does anyone have any suggestions or pictures on how you setup a bait tank for your 13 Sport? I am in the process of setting up the tank.

I am in the same predicament. I can only figure on modifying a cooler as it seems to be about the only option. We don't have a lot of floor space to play with so the cooler seems to be what I keep reverting back to. On the thought of the cooler, I would be using shad and will have to make the corners more rounded as most bait fish will just kill themselves from running into the walls.

I did find a small bait tank that would work in the back but wanted to see if there were better ways of running the bait tank. If you are interested, I can send you pics of the one I found.

Thanks for the info. I've got a 20gal semi-clear plastic drum that contained some kind food chemical, I had thought of cutting it in half and figuring out a reasonably secure lid. I guess that if you could find a cleanable 20gal plastic drum it looks to be roughly the same thing just a few pieces of hard would be needed. Those drums can usually be picked up around cafeterias (schools) or restaurants. They are also used for various soap liquids at auto detailers. It looks like the white drum in the link.

Shoot TexasOutrage a PM. He has a very interesting and functional bait tank that would do well in our 13' BWs. It's basically a cooler with internals installed to make it into a bait tank. Really cool set up.

Kevin (Menemsha69) gave me his old home made one. A 5 gallon water cooler with a bubbler. The bubbler attaches to the side. The air tube goes through a small hole in the side above the water line. I added a pvc tube to hold my bait net. The 2 handles make it easy to bungee to a side rail.

I found this website that shows how to make a livewell from an ice chest. Looks like it will work pretty good.

Take a look at my Personal Page for another variation on the cooler theme.

I have an old spray system bait well utilizing a 48qt Igloo cooler on my flats boat. My 25' Outrage has a below deck baitwell.

The closest thing I can find to my old setup is the Marine Metal Products (marinemetal.com) spray system. Look at the Super Saver Kit SS-212. Academy Sports sells them here in Texas.
