After the maiden voyage my 18 Newport with a 2001 Johnson 200 Carb motor runs 45 Knots at 5200 with a 14 1/2 x21 pitch Michigan XHS aluminum prop. Cruises 28 knots at 3500. Moved motor up to third hole from second hole which has lessoned spray off motor and lightened steering a bit. Did not seem to change porpoising issues that seem common on these hulls. Very Trim sensitive but rides real nice with the right trim setting. Knot Bad. Met my 50 Mph goal.
