Does anyone know how many feet of cable/rope I need to purchase to replace the tiller steering for a 13' Whaler?

Thanks in advance!

I'm confused by your question. Are you converting from a tiller to a steering wheel?

I have a full steering cable setup that I just took off of a 13. It's essentially new and I'm willing to part with it. Let me know.

measure from your helm to the starboard side of the boat, then measure from that point back to the stern and from there to the port side. Now multiple that by two, add about 10% for missreading the table, or addition issues and you should be about right on. You will end up trimming but hopefully not that much.
good luck

Use Kamies method but add another 5 or so feet. The stuff is cheap, under .30 per foot. It would be annoying if you run short

i really meant it when I said at 10% to your total. Rich is right, it would suck to run out

mcboat-

I PM'd you but I'm not sure if that works from my computer. I don't know what that setup is worth. Iim happy to send it to you and you can decide.
