STEERING CABLE LENGTH FOR A 15' SPORT

Member Posts: 20 Comments: 0 Joined: 08/22/08	I HAVE COMPLETELY GUTTED MY 15' SPORT AND FORGOT TO MEASURE WHAT I NEEDED FOR A STEERING CABLE LENGTH. IT HAD A 10' CABLE, AND THAT WAS TO SHORT. I AM LOOKING AT GOING BACK WITH THE TELEFLEX SS-137 SAFE-T QUICK-CONNECT STEERING SYSTEM, BUT I CANNOT DETERMINE WHICH WOULD BE A BETTER LENGTH, THE 11' OR THE 12'. ANY COMMENTS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Member Posts: 20 Comments: 1 Joined: 04/20/09	I just purchased one about a month ago... The length is 11' but you need to see what kind of steering helm you have to get the correct cable. I called teleflex direct and someone called me back the same day with a lot of advise and help. It was a really easy fix with the new quick connect system. Took me about 1/2- 45 minutes to do the whole job myself. I paid $118.00 w/ shipping. Good luck and have a great day. B
