I know that it has been discussed many times before, However, let me tell of my recent series of incidents. I was in the process of flipping my hull to ready it for the final stage of paintting the inside. I wanted to wax the bottom before I put it back on the trailer. I did not have any marine wax and the store I chose to venture to had a less than desirable selection so I chose to use my tried and true Ice paste wax. I'm not sure how long it will last but this is the slipperiest stuff I have ever put on a car and will usually last for several months. I know the constant force of water will strip it off quicker but if you want to enter a race, I would highly suggest trying it as my boat will and has slipped of the trailer with two fingers.
