I recenlty purchased a 1995 Montauk 17 that was garage kept and is in like new condition aside from not having a Bilge sump hole cover. It appears that at one time it may have had a cover as there are screw holes present. Any ideas as to what that bilge cover may be made of and pictures of it in place?
There is a drawing of the sump cover in the "Dowloads" section.
You can download the drawing there.
The early Montauks used Teak plywood.
The later Montauks used Starboard or Whalerboard.
