I took the family over to Annapolis harbor area for the "Blue Angels" air show. They come every year in May and do this show just outside of the Naval Academy. I'm fortunate enough to live a short distance by boat so I couldn't pass up this opportunity..This would also be my daugters first time on the boat. She is 8 months old. She did very well, no issues and really liked watching the show.

Here are a few shots of these incredible pilots in action.

This one had past nearly overhead, unfortunately the photo doesn't do any justice as he was much closer. We were anchored very close to their flight path which made it very loud too when the would blast by!!

Immediately after the show I met up with Brady and his children. Here is his 25 Outrage, Whalerdrive....

Brady is very skilled when it comes to woodwork and he has done some nice work on his boat. Hopefully when its completed we can see some pictures. The bay bridge in the background....

Very good day on the water. There were roughly 1000 boats in the area as this is a big event. If you live in the Maryland - Virginia area should check out this show next year. It lasts roughly 1/2 hour? and most people start anchoring up an hour or two before the show.

The Blue Angels are part of Commissioning Week ceremonies at the Naval Academy. They center the show over Hospital Point on the Academy grounds where you can watch from ground zero if you don't have a boat. The "real show" however will be in Navy-Marine Corp Memorial Stadium on the 23rd when the Firsties of the Class of 2008 accept their Commissions as Ensigns and 2nd Lieutenants in the United States Navy and Marine Corp.

Ohmygod!!! Whaler Drive, Electronics box, super console and bow pulpit, and super leaning post!!!!!!!!!!!!!! damn a dream boat. Only missing the super console with the horizontal wheel instead of the almost vertical, and, dang it, doesn't get any better. Super boat, very impressive!!!!

I lived in Pensacola Fla for 10 years and was lucky enough to see not only numerous shows, but worked at the base, and saw a million practices. Only trick i saw once was when one of the Blue Angle Pilots stood an F-18 on its butt, and moved down the beach in an almost vertical position using the thursters to poggo down the beach at less then 100 too 150 feet. In all my years of watching them, only saw it on one show on Pensacola beach. Awesome!!!

Mike, thanks for posting the pics from wednsday! We need to get some pics of both 25s together one of these days. The kids and I had a great time that day. What better reason to hook school than to see the Blue angels from two classic 25 Outrages! Next on the list is about 40 miles off shore, can't wait for the tuna!

Duf, thanks for the complements. I truly feel lucky to own such a great boat. Its very unusual to find me on or even around my 25 Outrage without a big smile on my faceGrin I bought this boat last june and had it shipped up from texas. It has most of the options I was looking for and is in great shape. I'm currently working on a set of tackle drawers for the 18"x21" cutout thats in the rear of the super leaning post. I have a list of other things I want to do and will try to get some pics posted. Thankfully, I have Mike to refer to as many of the things I want he has done to his 25. His is a classic fishing machine that you could eat off ofWink

Enjoy this Memorial day weekend

Semper, Brady
