I'm having a hard time with a suitable boat ladder for the whaler. I have a Garelick EEz In ladder with 4 steps, but it seems to rock the boat over to one side so much that I am leaning in a backwards direction and cannot get in the boat. Yes, I'm 215 pounds. I've tried amidships either over the side rail or right on the gunwhale; neither works. I've tried further forward on the gunwhale, but there is not enough hull for the ladder supports to push against. I don't really have room off of the stern. Any suggestions?
Thanks. I had already moved the legs up to the top step so that they would not slide under the hull. I had already used the location mentioned and had my wife counterweight on other side. I'll try climbing up the ladder with my body close to the handles and see if that works. It makes sense.
