Have any of you had success in finding a replacement for the fire extinguisher at the helm below the throttle/shifter? There is a recess for this purpose, but the original Kidde extinguisher is no longer made, which was 13 3/4 tall. Opening is just under 14".
Closest I can find are a 12" Kidde and two others over 14". I can use the 12", but would prefer to fill the space as intended without changing the bracket and having an open space in the recessed slot, and having less material in the device canister.
Thank you, and best to all from Florida Gulf Coast

Amerex is a second national brand. Their sizes are not compatible.

I would look at modifying the recess or replacing it with a larger size.

Whaler sourced the pockets from SSI. Here is a screen grab of the pockets from the current SSI catalog, a good manufacturer, with measurements.

Flounder Pounder also carries a insert:

Thank you, I think I will just modify the bracket position. I have a larger extinguisher mounted on underside of stern seat, which is always raised to vertical, and one in battery cubby.
Thank you for your information.
