Member Posts: 3 Comments: 0 Joined: 01/27/16	Just bought a 2006 Yamaha 90 2 Stroke with less than 100 hours of use. The cowl is in pretty good shape but I decided to have it painted and cleared with Yamaha materials. New decals should make it look really great and will be completed this week. QUESTION: What is the recommended prop size and pitch for this set up? Knowing that there is a lot of subjectivity and personal preference on this subject. Just looking for some good advice for my renovation project.

Member Posts: 3 Comments: 0 Joined: 01/27/16	Forgot to mention that the prop on the motor now is: Stiletto 11317 Stainless Steel - 3 Blades Diameter: 13 - 1/4" Pitch: 17" Is this a good choice for a Yamaha 90 2-Stroke + 1983 Montauk ? Thanks !

Administrator Personal Page Personal Album Project Albums Posts: 7043 Comments: 6 Joined: 03/26/05	I had a 1987 Montauk with the same motor. I recall that is a good, if not the, prop. Make sure the motor is mounted at the proper height. It should be 2 holes "up". Top mounting bolts in the 3rd hole counting down from the top.
