Was not able to use the boat for a year after Hurricane Sandy.

When winterized, ran gas dry to hopefully remove all gas from system.

After running poorly, checked fuel filter, had a lot of gas crystals in it. Replaced it, ran well for 3 hours, then problem reappeared including crystals.
Next move is replace fuel hose from tanks.

Any one seen this? Any other ideas?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Likely the carbs have varnish in them, this is very common with e-10 fuel. Running the motor "dry" does not actually remove all gas from the system. My guess is your carbs are going to have to be removed and cleaned with a rebuild kit installed. What makes it all the more frustrating is that one minute the motor is running fine and then not.

Just went through this process with my 90 Yamaha 2-stroke. $450 and 3 weeks to get it back.
I am determined to learn how to do this repair and have watched you-tube videos how. I am presently advertising on craigslist for a motor cheap in any condition, just so I can learn on something that I can't make worse.

Same thing happened to me with my 90 Yam. Ended up being all kinds of garbage in the bottom of my gas tank. Cleaned the tank thoroughly and have had no issues since ( 4 years ago ). I saw quite a few light purple colored beads .
