Just moved up into this boat from my 15' Dauntless, and thought I would seek Tom Clark's advice on a prop?
While this does get up well with the 115HP engine, something tells me Tom know of a prop that has even better performance that the stock one ?

I had a 1999 with a 115 Evinrude FICHT engine. Tom advised me, way back then, to install a 13 1/4 X 15 4 blade Stiletto Bay I. IIRC he also advised raising the engine one or two holes. That combination provided amazing performance. He also sold me the recommended prop at a very good price.

Depending upon your engine another prop may better serve your purposes. It's also likely there is a better prop for your boat today since some advancements have probably been made in the past 10 years. Also, model names and numbers change.

How can we help you with your setup since we don't know anything other than the model and year of your boat.

make and model and year of engine?
current prop material, brand, size and pitch?
current WOT rpm and GPS speed?

There are NO STOCK PROPS!. Every motor is sold without a prop. The dealer chooses a prop from the ones they decide to carry/order.

Have you done a site search for your question?

Phil T, sorry about the lack of engine info. The engine is the stock 115HP Mercury 4 stroke EFI. The current prop is a Stainless 3 blade Mercury Vengeance with the following #'s on it: 48-16986 16P. No trim tabs or hydrofoils. I'm sure there is a better set up to get on plane faster ect; I don't know the WOT or speed as of yet. Tom recommended a prop on my Dauntless 15 and it was like nite & day. Your input is greatly appreciated in this matter.
