I'm a new Whaler owner and new to this site. My wife and I recently purchased a 1998 Ventura 18. It has a Honda 90hp outboard. We've had it out a few times and really love it. When we were transporting it to the river today, one of the backrest cushions from the seat by the stern flew off onto the highway. We wouldn't have known but a motorist pulled us over to tell us. Let that be a lesson to me to make sure they are all secured from now on. Anyway, I was able to retrieve it but not before it sustained some damage, probably from getting run over. I was going to see if I could get a local upholsterer to repair it, or just simply order a new one. I followed the link on this site to the Whaler online parts catalogue. They have the part listed, but I can't figure out how to order it because there's no order info or contact number that I can find. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I've tried to find another online supplier but no luck so far. Thanks.
Start with Sue Lodel at Twin Cities Marine. She is your best resource and first stop for any OEM Whaler part / hardware search. So long as you and not looking for classic wood components.
Or you could try Flounder Pounder Marine. They have all kinds of NOS (new old stock) cushions for post classic Whalers. If you do not see what you are looking for on their website call them as it is not all on there.
I have never seen Kendor Marine AKA Great Lakes Skipper have any Whaler Specific cushions, nor items in general. Giro have you gotten Whaler Items from them before?
