Personal Page Tutorial

The Personal Page function has been added in response to many requests for this type of feature. This is a FREE service for all members.

If you already have a photo album somewhere else on the Internet like photobucket, then you probably do not need a personal page.
Just put a link in your profile to your website and people can click on it there.

We have set a limit for the number of photos for each member to a maximum of 20.

All photos must be uploaded to WhalerCentral.
No outside photo linking to Photo Bucket, Image Shack, etc... No Exceptions...

There is a size limit of 640x480 for the photos and 125kb.
The photos should be named using .jpg in lowercase.

IMPORTANT:
Photo names cannot contain any characters or punctuation like parentheses (), commas , apostrophes ' or quotation marks " "...
Joe's.jpg will NOT work because of the apostrophe ' ...
Joes(whaler).jpg will NOT work because of the parentheses ()...

1. Click on the right sidebar under your name, "Edit Personal Page"

2. Enter a page title

3. Click the link "Images Upload" to start uploading your photos.

4. Click the link "Activate images upload".

5. Click browse to locate the photos on your computer.

6. Click upload image.

7. Make sure it says your image was uploaded.

8. You should see your photos have been uploaded in the "Private" window.

9. Enter some text and insert your photos and then click "SAVE"

10. Note that your page has been saved

11. Preview your page one last time and make sure it looks how you want it to look.

12. Under the category, change from Offline to "ONLINE" then click Save.

may i have more than one personal pages?

No, that is not possible.
Why would anyone need more then one personal page?
You can have different pages within your personal page for different boats, see my personal page for an example.

Followed this tutorial and changed category from offline to online. However, when I go to Member Personal Pages I do not see my page. Will it take a little time to upload? Thanks in advance for the help
