I have a 1980 with factory fiberglass side console and bow rail. Seats, bow locker and side trim are refinished. Looks just about as good as yours. It has a 2006 Yamaha 60 four stroke on it.

I have a 1981 Sport 15' with a 1979 Johnson 70hp 2 cyl. The motor is in practically mint condition. Mine has the sport rails that wrap around the seat up to the end of the console. They are a bit shorter in height than yours. The old whalers are actually much lighter and sportier than the brand new Sport and Super Sport 15's.

Lonnie, sorry for the delay in answering you. I painted the bottom myself. Was not dificult to do at all.

What paint did you use for the bottom? What color for the woodwork, on the 15'?
