I just bought a 13 foot whaler sport. 1989 model
The teak console is shot. Looking for some advice.
Thinking about replacing the console with starboard.
Any help, input, advice?
I'm new to the fourm. And new to owning a boat.

Thank you!

I would keep it orginal. Holds a better value and looks good! If you want to purchase a new one. Try specialty marine who are sponsors on this website. Just click on the right top hand corner. Well, that's just my opinion.

Just for the record, the interior wood on the sport models and many others were made of Mahogany...

Replacement wood interiors are an easy way to get your boat looking new again with very little work.

Go with Wood........a little more work and more maintainance but will also give you a liitle more pride when you are showing it off!

Stay with the "WOOD", it's what gives these boat's that "Sparkle" that say's "CLASS" ! A "REAL" New England design, besides being "UNSINKABLE", it's the BEST part of the boat.

Mike and the guys at Nautical Lumber, one of our sponsors, just made me one for my 13 foot super sport and it is a beauty.

I found Mike easy to work with and a good guy.

Give him a shot I think you will be happy you did.
