Hey guys i am trying to locate who posted about the steering mod on a 60's 13'. they included pictures and all stuff needed to do the mod. It was 1 threaded tube with 2 welded circle clamps to attach to the through tube of an outboard, so the steering cable will fit through eliminating the steering bracket that holds the steering cable. any help would be great as i will continue to search for it Thanks again This is the Boat

We should ask Glsuchoha to make an article out of that installation or have them create a project album.

Here is the link to their personal page.

No need to make a tilt tube. You can buy a secondary tilt tub. They are used for dual steering cables for high powered outboards.. They might not bolt up to your smaller motor though, so brackets such as those in the preceding post must be made. I have a new secondary tilt tube I`ll sell for $20 with a bracket to fit a late '80s Suzuki 150.
