Today was the first day I put the whaler in the water. We were in Lake Lavon in North Texas. The weather was a balmy 75 degrees and very nice out. I managed to get a pretty good sunburn out of the deal. I'll attach a few pictures of our trip today.

Just so you know Cliff, I have no sympathy for your sunburn.

I made it out today as well. Long johns, two layers, and my lifejacket inside my Carhartt insulated worksuit. Not complaining, it was warm. 40 maybe 42 degrees. (raspberry)

;)

I didn't think that I'd get as burned as I did. Work isn't so much fun this morning. Lol.

40-42 degrees is a bit chilly. Good thing you dressed for the occasion.....glad you made it out though.

Phil, you're an inspiration to us in the region that are still well under tarp and shrink wrap, keep it up!

Cliff, Boat looks great! But you didn't mention how you like your new modified console?

Matt...yes we went fishing but..... I didn't mention anything because I didn't catch anything, lol. My friend Jeff caught about a 1 one pound largemouth bass and a huge catfish....lol. I had no such luck.

Dave...yes...the console worked better than expected. It sits at a good height and it makes the boat seem a bit larger than it really is. lol. All day long, all I could smell was a light scent of the varnish as it was baking in the sun. I've never taken on such a project before and to be honest with you, there's not much that feels better than doing a project and having it come out nicely and then to use what it is you've made. It's a good feeling....thanks for asking.
