Hi,

i currently removing all the timber from my Montauk prior to it being flipped and the hull sorted out. I have two timber blocks on the inner lip of the hull (opposite each side of the console) where the bimini hood attaches , i'v removed the screws that held them on but they still refuse to move, it looks like the silicon is holding them inplace, i dont; want to start levering them incase i damage the hull, is there an easy way to remove this silicon ?..is heat the answer?

also, i want to remove the timber blocks that attach the swing seat to the metal frame it pivots on , but there doesn't seem to be any screws attaching them?...its a mystery to me.. can you help?

i have a large stainless gas tank, is it worth painting it or is the maintenance too high?...should i just polish it and leave it at that?

thanks for all your help
