I believe in an 1958 the stencil is found in the cockpit splashwell in front of the transom bulkhead.
Here are images I shot of Steve Karris's 1958 that Whaler restored and used for their 50th Anniversary display.
The oldest whaler that I know to have been owned by a member was hull# 110 (which would make it the 11th whaler ever made) which was owned by Larry Goltz LHG/Finnegan
