Fellas,
My Mills bimini top is in good shape, however the support poles are oxidized and look rough. Can you clean the poles or is there somewhere I can get replacement poles that fit this top. Hopefully someone has figured this out already. thanks

Paul

Paul,

Do you know if you have aluminum or stainless steel tubing?

I'm sure you can still buy most things from Mills but due to shipping it might make more sense just to take the pieces you want to replace to you local canvas shop and have them reproduced.

Try polishing with Fitz metal polish and see if that makes them look better.

I use "Nevrdull" (automotive store).

Thanks for the feedback. The poles are aluminum and after some research, I've discovered there is no easy way to get the poles back to nice finish without some sanding and polishing. I ended up buying online a polishing formula that some guy makes for truckers to clean their aluminum rims that have miles of road grim. It's a slow process, but I guess with some things there is no easy fix.
