Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Mercury Tach Question

I have a 2001 Mercury 40hp with a Commander 2000 remote control. Do i need a special tach for this? Also, how do i connect the tach to the wiring harness? Thanks.
