Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Stenciled Hull Number

I own a 1969 13' sport. I purchased it from my Uncle, who was the original owner. The registration indicated a hull number of 2A1252, but no where does this number appear anywhere on the boat. (the boat is 100% original, never re-painted, never, re-gelcoated, even the seats have original finish on them and look about 3 years old.) Any ideas on why the hull number can't be found? I am a little concerned some over zealous marine police officer will bust my chops one day, can anyone show me a photo of the white hull number stenciled to the transom so I can apply a hull number to my boat? Many thanks to my fellow Whalers!

Look inside the bow locker. The stenciled number will be there on the bottom.

The stenciled number 2A1252 is consistent with it being a 1969 13' Whaler.

Tom, how do you translate the stenciled number into Year and model? any formular/table?

whalerjack,

Jim Hebert has excellent Whaler information on his continuousWave web site. The years of many of the stenciled numbers for the 13 footers can be deduced here:
