Looking for a model that will handle the lower Chesapeake bay on a nice day, and run in the rivers on the Eastern Shore of VA,. Will most 17' models come in under 1500# ? Are there any 19' models that will ?

Looking for something from mid-late 90's or newer.

Yes.

The older models are lighter.
