Morning everyone,

I have been neatening up all the wires under my dash and replacing connections this summer. My question is does anyone know what the single pull switch to the right of the navigation switch on the console is supposed to work?

The switch on mine is not connected to anything.

Thanks in advance.

Billy

Just a spare. Whatever you want to connect to it.
I believe there is an extra fuse right below the pull switch too.

While I’m neatening up the wires, I was going to put a waterproof junction box where the stern light harness connects to the light harness that comes from the rub rail through the gunnel.
I have seen pictures of one but can’t find a tan one to match the color of the boat.
Does anyone know where I can get one and if so the part number?

Thanks,
Bill

Block, Terminal #12008500

Cover, Terminal Block #12557300

You can download the Part Manual for the Montauk 17' here in our "Download Section".

For the nav light junction box on the inside of the hull, call Sue at Twin Cities Marine, Manitowoc WI (now merged with The Boathouse company). She sells a hull matching box that conceals a 4 gang terminal block (only 3 gangs are used). It only requires minor drilling for wire entry and exit.

I'll send a photo of mine to your Email address for your reference.

Joe - Listing the part # does not help with a vendor who sells it.

Nauset Marine sells the black version of the cover:

Never heard of that.
How would anyone know exactly what original part they are referring too?
I order parts from Sears with part numbers for items I purchased back in the 1960's. Many part numbers have been superseded but usually the part is exactly the same.
