Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Montauk 17 cracks in gelcoat at transom & other places

I am seriously considering buying a 1987 montauk which is in great shape overall but has some tracks in the gelcoat at several location which get me worried. Some are between the splash well and transom, others are on the top of the transom and have been repaired previously (but the repair didn’t seem to hold well). I included a couple of pictures below. What do you guys think?

Those are hairline cracks in the gelcoat due to age and it drying out.

All cosmetic.

Not an issue.
