Looking at the specs for the 2015 Outrage 190, it weighs almost 500 lbs less and is just 6" longer, I cannot find the deadrise of the hull anywhere on whalers site. The forward entry looks very similar to my current boat, I don't know whats going on at the transom. Hard to believe thats going to be any drier. I live in a windy place so even on calmer days with 1-2' chop if moving anything over 25 then spray blows back into the boat , lowering the bow with the tabs / engine cuts down on speed quite a bit along with some of the spray. I was on a great riding older 24' BW hull with a guide visiting my brother in Gavelston who was running what I believe was an Outrage but really don't know that's just too big for me to tow it had twins on it. I'm thinking something like an older Regulator 21, Bluewater 21, or other CC boats that have 20 degree + deadrise at the transom. The boat and trailer I have are very well set up, other than engine size, so i don't want to go thru a lot of gymnastics and effort, cost for little or no improvement.
I'm in upstate NY spend time on lake Ontario, St Lawrence Seaway, finger lakes, trailer up to Maine once a year.
I will have to travel to the coast to find a used boat very few fitting the bill around me.
Thanks, for the suggestions
