HOW to select the Amp options for an onboard Dual or Triple battery sys on a small boat?
I have seen a few 20 AMP-10/10-2 bank or 10 AMP -5/5/-2 bank
30 AMP 10/10/10-3 Bank or 15 AMP 5/5/5/ - 3 Bank?
How do you choose?
I was told slower charging is a 'better' charge?
Are these newer chargers with Higher amperages just as 'good' a charge?
Why wouldn't I want a larger amp value if ( it is in my budget) and it charges the Battery faster?

NOTE: This is not a Brand selection forum issue, but really a configuration and benefits inquiry?
Please refrain from including your Brand.

I would go for 10amps per bank. Today's chargers are 'smart' in that they are multi stage, and start with a bulk charge ( high amps), and taper down until fully charged. They wont over charge. Google or look at West Marines website for a better, more detailed explanation.
