What do you think? Can BRP pull this of and keep the two alive?

That's a tough one Dick.

I guess only time will tell. I personally hope they do as they have a great product.
1. Clean (E-Tec)
2. Lightweight as compared to 4 stroke
3. Way less moving parts than a 4 stroke
4. Less maintenance than a 4 stroke
5. Better hole shot that the 4 stroke

Just to name a few advantages.
I personally like the E-Tec over any other 'Clean' engine.

Joe: How would you compare the noise level at idle and cruise of a 225 HP ETec vs Verado?

James,

I haven't heard the Verado so I can't compare.
For me, it is not the sound level so much because I just switched to a Diesel truck.
A diesel truck is obviously loudly than a gas engine.
The difference for me is the overall performance and fuel consumption of the two stroke vs. the four stroke.
Also for me is the complicated machinery that the 4 stroke has.. The 2 stroke is simple. There isn't anyone that can argue that fact. The two stroke is simple compared to the four stroke .. Period...

I have never been sold on the four stroke... Just me maybe... But why complicate things when you don't have to? E-Tec seems to have reassured that premise....
