I was recently gifted a 1988 15' Super Sport. I am in the process of restoring it, but the original owner does not have the title.
I want to assist him applying for a duplicate, and was wondering if anyone in NYS with a title for a Whaler can check to see what it has down for the make? It apparently has to be five characters or less.
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

DMV should have a record of title and registration in computer archives. May make the computer system work to find the deep information, but they'll find the title, etc if you have the hull registration #.
e.g. NY DMV found my 1964 Sport particulars when it hadn't a registration renewal for 10+ years.

Realize this reply too late for original poster, but I've just joined. Anyone with the same question, my NYS reg has the 5 characters as BO/WH.
