I'm restoring a 1992 13. The aluminum HID plate riveted on the transom came off and is in pretty ratty condition. I'd like to replace it. Are there any companies that make replacement HID plates..?

Thanks!

Bruce

HIN
Hull Identification Number

You can have one made by a Trophy Shop

Thanks, Joe. I found this company that will recreate the printed plate. They don't stamp the HID# itself. I'd still need to get that done. Might be the way to go to get a replacement that looks just like the original. But, a trophy shop is a good idea, also!

Hi blindeman,

I had two made by the national band and tag company in Ky. Did an awesome job, stamped and all with holes ready for rivets. I think it cost me $32 with shipping and all.

Good luck with the restoration!

The company that makes them for Whaler is Magic Brush in FL. Tom has the original files for each hull and will make one just like the one that originally came with the boat. I've used them on 5 restorations.
